How Hardline uses cookies and similar technologies.
Version 1.0-draft · Last updated: 2026-05-10 · Effective: Pending counsel sign-off
1.What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to remember information about you across visits. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDK identifiers) function in equivalent ways. References to “cookies” in this Policy include these similar technologies.
2.Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Lifetime | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Authentication, session management, CSRF protection, routing | Supabase Auth session cookie; Vercel routing cookies | Session or up to 30 days | No |
| Functional | UI preferences (theme, filter state, last-visited page) | Local storage entries | Up to 365 days | No (essential to UX) |
| Analytics (privacy-respecting) | Aggregate, non-identifying telemetry to operate and improve the Service | Vercel Analytics (cookieless / hashed visitor IDs) | N/A (no persistent identifier stored) | No; opt-out at /legal/privacy-choices |
| Advertising / cross-context | Not used | None | N/A | N/A |
3.We Do Not Use Advertising or Cross-Context Tracking
We do not deploy advertising pixels or cross-context behavioral tracking technologies. That includes the Meta Pixel, the Google Ads remarketing tag, the TikTok Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, X (Twitter) Conversion Tracking, and similar networks. If we change this practice, we will update this Policy under the procedures in Section 18 of the Terms of Service and add an opt-in / opt-out interface.
4.Your Choices
You may control cookies through your browser settings (typically Settings › Privacy › Cookies). Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when cookies are set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Service from functioning.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for your browser or device. See Your Privacy Choices.
5.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes are made under Section 18 of the Terms of Service. Each version is archived at /legal/archive.
